Adnan Hayal, Turkey’s Consul General in Guangzhou, was born in Schramberg, Germany, in 1963. After completing his primary and secondary education in the same city, Hayal graduated from Üsküdar Cumhuriyet High School in 1981. Hayal studied at Marmara University Faculty of Education, Department of German Language and Literature, graduating in 1986. That same year, he passed the examination held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and began his career.
He served at various levels in the Directorate General of Consular and Social Security Affairs, the Directorate General of Multilateral International Organizations, the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Secretariat, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Istanbul Representative Office, the Directorate General of Consular Affairs, and finally the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Edirne Representative Office.
Consul General Hayal served abroad at the Consulate General in Burgas, the Embassy in Abuja, the Consulate General in Munich, the Consulate General in Cologne for two terms, and the Consulate General in Karlsruhe. He served as Deputy Consul General at the Consulate General in Karlsruhe between 2017 and 2022.
After serving as Consul General in Komrat until September 31, 2025, Hayal was appointed Consul General in Guangzhou on October 15, 2025.
