Türkiye’s Ambassador to Beijing, Selçuk Ünal, conveyed his Chinse New Year’s wishes to Chinese people in an interview with CCTV-4 (China International Channel of China Central Television).
In his message, Ambassador Ünal stated, “Of course, the Spring Festival is a very important holiday for the Chinese people. It is a time for families to be together and also has very deep historical significance. 2026 marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations between Türkiye and the People’s Republic of China (PRC). Therefore, Türkiye has granted visa-free travel rights to Chinese citizens.” Ambassador Ünal, noting that Türkiye grants visa-free travel rights to Chinese citizens, recommended that they visit Cappadocia. Ünal continued his message as follows: “I have many recommendations for our Chinese friends, such as Cappadocia, a popular destination for Chinese tourists. As I mentioned earlier, this is the 55th anniversary of bilateral relations, and therefore, as the Year of the Horse represents a progressive and successful year, I wish for bilateral relations to be successful this year as well. I also wish all our Chinese friends a good year, health and success, and more visits to Türkiye.”
