China&#8217;s GDP grew by 5.3% year-on-year in the first half of 2025. China had shown 5.4% growth in the first quarter. Despite the US imposing high additional tariffs on China in the second quarter, growth in China did not fall below 5%. The National People&#8217;s Congress work report stated that China expects 5% growth by the end of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Value-added industrial production: increased by 6.4% annually<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Retail sales: increased by 5% annually<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fixed asset investments: increased by 2.8% annually<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Growth figures have been announced in China.
