Turkey’s Ambassador to China, Selçuk Ünal, presented his credentials to the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, yesterday.
A collective ceremony was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing where 18 newly appointed ambassadors to China presented their credentials.
During the presentation of his credentials, Ambassador Selçuk Ünal conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to President Xi Jinping. It was also noteworthy that Ambassador Ünal wore his Turkish War of Independence Medal, which he frequently displays on important occasions, while presenting his credentials.

Xi Jinping: “No one wants to return to the law of the jungle.”
In his address to ambassadors at the ceremony, Xi Jinping stated that the world is experiencing rapid changes seen once in a century, that the international environment is full of turmoil and chaos, and that global challenges are becoming increasingly apparent.
Emphasizing that the logic of division, confrontation, and zero-sum games is no longer valid in international relations, Xi Jinping stated, “No one wants to return to the law of the jungle. Solidarity and cooperation are the only real option.”
