On February 9, 2026, Chinese Embassy in Ankara held a reception to celebrate the Chinese New Year (Spring Festival) for the upcoming Year of the Horse (2026). Over 300 people, including Chinese citizens residing in Turkey, representatives, Chinese organizations, news agencies, Confucius Institutes, and students, gathered to celebrate the Spring Festival.
Chinese Ambassador to Turkey Jiang Xuebin extended Chinese New Year greetings, reviewed China’s economic and social development achievements in various fields in 2025, and highlighted the fruitful results of practical cooperation between China and Turkey. He encouraged everyone to make greater contributions to China’s modernization and the development of the strategic cooperation relationship between China and Turkey. Ambassador Xuebin stated that the Embassy would fully implement the principle of people-centered diplomacy, serve wholeheartedly, and be a strong support for the Chinese community abroad.
